We’ve reached that curious time of the year, post-Christmas, pre-New Year’s Eve, when it’s hard to do know what to do with oneself. Usually, by now I’m shedding the desire to be “productive” that I carry around all year and I’m reaching a level of peace with doing nothing that only seems to arrive at the end of December. It’s also a time that moves me into deep reflection. But this year, I haven’t experienced the slow-down, since I’m currently in Oregon helping my brother with his newborn and toddler. It’s been a special time; though I’m still waiting for snow.
